About Your Surgeon

Dr Gregory (Chui) Then (FRACS , MBBS (UWA)) born and raised in Perth is your locally and internationally trained vascular surgeon who is excited to be able to offer comprehensive vascular and endovascular services for all arterial and venous disease in Perth, Western Australia and its regional locations. He has an interest in:

  • aortic aneurysms (minimally invasive surgery or open surgery),
  • carotid disease,
  • peripheral vascular disease (claudication and ulcer disease),
  • diabetic foot management,
  • varicose veins – venaseal glue, radiofrequency and laser ablation , sclerotherapy , surgery and
  • renal access surgery – fistula creation, central venous access

Dr Then usually operates at the following hospitals :

  • SJOG Murdoch
  • SJOG Subiaco
  • Joondalup Health Campus.

Training and Experience

Dr Then is a graduate of UWA, and has a fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is also a current member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery.  The majority of his post-graduate surgical training have been within the major teaching hospitals of Perth, but he has also held fellowship posts overseas in Singapore and New Zealand.

Dr Then is a consultant specialist at all the major local private hospitals including SJOG Murdoch,  SJOG Subiaco and Joondalup Health Campus.
