About WA Vascular Centre

WA Vascular Centre is a vascular medical diagnostic imaging centre.

Imaging Center Services

Services typically offered by our vascular imaging center:

  • Carotid artery ultrasound
  • Lower limb arterial ultrasound
  • Lower limb venous ultrasound (DVT assessment)
  • Aorto-iliac artery ultrasound
  • Graft surveillance
  • Renal artery ultrasound
  • Upper limb vascular ultrasound
This type of imaging is used to diagnose conditions like deep vein thrombosis (DVT), peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid artery disease, and varicose veins.
Our Centre employs specialized vascular sonographers skilled in performing and interpreting vascular ultrasound examinations.
Most vascular imaging is done using Doppler ultrasound, which can visualize blood flow within the vessels.
Unlike a general radiology center, this center primarily focuses on imaging the circulatory system.

FAQ

Vascular imaging is used to evaluate blood vessels – with the exception of the coronary arteries, which are assessed with a CT scan – and help diagnose conditions associated with abnormal blood flow.

A vascular study may be done to: Check signs and symptoms that may mean you have decreased blood flow in arteries or veins in your neck, legs, or arms. This Testing assess procedures you have had done before to restore blood flow to an area and / or a vascular dialysis device (such as an A-V fistula in the arm)
